WOMEN'S GOLF TEAM BACK IN ACTION AT WESTERN CAROLINA
 

RICHMOND, Ky. - Coach Joni Stephens' Eastern Kentucky University women's golf team plays in its fourth tournament of the fall today and Tuesday as EKU competes in the 36-hole Western Carolina University Lady Catamount Intercollegiate Golf Tournament.

The tourney will include 18 teams and will be played at the Laurel Ridge Country Club in Cullowhee, NC.

EKU had another good showing in its last tourney appearance, finishing sixth of 14 teams with an overall team score of 636 at the Lady Racer Classic at Murray State University. Arkansas State won the team title with a 618.

Sophomore Colleen Yaeger led Eastern's contingent with a ninth place score of 157. She was followed closely by teammates Krissie Kirby (159), Michelle Biro (160) and Jaclyn Biro and Julie Bourne who each tied with 161.

Eastern closes fall tournament play with an appearance in the James Madison Invitational, Oct. 24-25.
